Meet PJ Labuschagne

Originally from Mauritius, PJ Labuschagne picked up the drumsticks at the age of 9 and hasn’t looked back since. Now based in Pretoria, PJ has become a highly sought-after drummer and educator, known for his technical skill, musical versatility, and passion for teaching.

As an active performer, PJ plays in multiple local bands and is currently the touring drummer for acclaimed South African artist Tamlyn Wessels. Whether on stage or in the studio, he brings energy, precision, and musicality to every performance.

🎓 At Blueville Music Academy, PJ is a dedicated drum instructor, working closely with students of all skill levels. His teaching style is approachable, structured, and tailored to each learner’s goals—whether it’s building foundational technique or mastering complex grooves.
